Federal Kontrol

So, our government now: owns car companies; banks; controls food source & supply; controls the Internet; makes us believe they have given us a gift by not allowing income taxes to go back up.  TSA expands their reach to the nations highways, bus terminals, and weigh stations.  TSA?  They are not even a law enforcement agency!  What the hell?!?  What is next?  A new arms treaty that benefits the Ruskies?  Forcing Border Patrol Agents to use rubber bullets to defend themselves from terrorists using real bullets?

Enough people.  The elections showed that NO politician can be trusted.  RINOs simply caved on all these votes – is that what they promised to do for passage of the income tax extension?  For two frigging years!?!  It’s a good thing I’m not hooked up to a BP cuff – it would be off the chart!!!

Neither the federal government nor the politicians and appointees represent the people anymore.  Nor have they for the last 15/20 years.  Time for change, indeed!

Security & Other TSA Myths

I’ve been reading loads of commentaries and 140 character opinions regarding the TSA and their “new” screening activities.  Let’s just say I am more than mildly annoyed at DHS, and, quite frankly, the US Government.  Instead of using security techniques that actually work, our government remains committed to political correctness at the expense of our Constitutional Rights.

The Israelis are the acknowledged world experts at all things security, and they think we are nuts!  The terrorists are in their caves and mud huts laughing at TSA attempts to keep us safe.  Everyone, except the brilliant minds at DHS, know these efforts are worse than futile.  It was said best by a security expert on TV over the weekend: Our security efforts are reactive, not proactive.  Amen to that!

The ACLU has gone to great lengths to make profiling illegal.  So, thanks to them, and their enablers, TSA feels it necessary and perfectly fine to grope, strip and humiliate Americans so we don’t offend someone.   Seems it is okay to humiliate Americans for appearance sake rather than being effective.  I am NOT surprised the ACLU is silent on these invasive search techniques.  What are they going to say?  Oops, profiling works…  Not on your life.  Political correctness is much more important than, say, our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

I get angry when I see TSA agents near strip searching uniformed members of the military; I get angry when I see TSA agents fondling children; I get angry when I see TSA agents humiliate the elderly; the infirm; the general public, all in the name of national security.  What a frigging joke, people!  How long are we, as a nation, going to take this Big Government intrusion into our lives?  What is is going to take to get us to say NOStop Now!?  I am waiting for the next step in DHS attempts to keep us safe.

The next logical step taken by DHS/TSA will be when Pistole or whatever that goon’s name is, and Janet ‘Napoleon’, decide that because the Saudi’s found explosives in a terrorist’s anus, body cavity searches will be mandatory for all passengers.  Do you think Americans will drop and bend for this?  Or will they quit acting like sheep and tell the Feds “Enough is enough!”

Yes, I am disgusted.  Yes, I am angry – at the Feds and at Americans in general.  I think this nation has too many sheep as citizens and not enough Patriots.  Well sheep.  Prepare for another fleecing and who knows what else your government has in mind for you.

Get mad people.  Tell your government enough is enough!

TSA Screenings or Pornography?

I have never been a fan of airport passenger screenings, even when they were relatively benign.  I have always thought they were a violation of my Constitutional Rights.  Why the Federal Government believes it has the right to infringe on my ability to fly escapes me – other than they can.  Recent “improvements” to airport screenings now just piss me off.  Please excuse my language, but it really does make me mad!

I’ve been reading lots of stories about how TSA employees are abusing citizens either in the full body scanners – read strip search – to full body feel-ups, not pat-downs.  I, for one, have absolutely no plans or desire to ever fly again.  What I look like sans clothing is nobody’s business but my wife and my Doctor.  It sure as the dickens isn’t some TSA rent-a-cop who wouldn’t have any idea what to do with a terrorist, if they could figure out what one looks like.

Look, I am no fan of the ACLU, but I really hope they decide to get ticked off about these strip searches, and file a whopper of a lawsuit for unreasonable searches and child pornography.  I also hope law enforcement watches these folks at TSA, and if they are found to have captured and sent images out-of-network, they prosecute them.  I know, TSA and DHS say images can’t be captured or sent across the Internet.  Well, that moronic statement has already been disproven, hasn’t it.  We have all seen the photos that have been posted on news sites with the “special” areas blurred.  Bet they weren’t blurred when the newsies got them.

Folks, it is time DHS, TSA, the White House, and Congress heard our voices.  We need to tell them “No more electronic strip searches, and No more feel ups of Americans!”  If more folks refused to be groped and manhandled and quit flying, I bet the airlines would spit and sputter all the way to Congress.  I do not recall which of our Founders said it, but: “Those who willingly give up Liberty for Security have neither.”  Well, do you feel safer now that our government is watching and feeling you in all your glory?

A Bad Day in the Neighborhood!

I just found out some friend’s applied for a loan modification under the (new) Federal Program, after she was laid off.  My friends, let’s call them ‘D & C’, contacted their lender the day after she was let go.  They got the paperwork filled out, signed, and registered with the modification program and were faithful with their house payment.  C even contacted their mortgage holder monthly to check status of their modification.  She was told all is well and it is at the Underwriter’s each time she checked.  (Of course, she was never able to talk to the same person twice.)

About four months ago D & C received a letter from their mortgage company stating they were approximately $7 grand in arrears.  They contacted their mortgage company and were told the letter was a “mistake” and to not worry about it. They were also told they should skip making the next three or four payments to help their modification application along.  They declined to not make payments as they hadn’t missed any before.  C called again October 1 to check on their application and was given the same answer as before.  Then the mail came that afternoon after her call.

A foreclosure notice.  Their application was rejected and the mortgage company was preparing to file foreclosure papers on their home.  They are devastated, to say the least!  They did everything they were asked to do except skip payments – they didn’t think that would be very smart.  No answers from anyone contacted, so far, as to why the application was rejected.  They feel like their property is being stolen from them.  The payment was reduced by the mortgage company and signed and notarized by all parties to make it legal and yet they are told in the foreclosure notice they are $12K in arrears?  How is that possible?  They did not ask for their payment to be reduced, they applied for a loan modification, and the mortgage company voluntarily reduced the payment.  How can they come back and say “Oh, guess what?  Kings X!”  Their attorney just shrugged his shoulders and said “Oh well”…  My friend said it best: “Another American dream, murdered by a federal program.”

I wish I knew how to stop this abuse.  I know there is an election coming that might have an impact, but it will be too late for them.  The movers will be here in a few days.  I know I will shed a few more tears for them when I see the moving truck show up.  Our neighborhood will be poorer without them!

Sorry to butcher a quote from Mr. Rodgers: It’s a bad day in the neighborhood…

What’s Going On? Part 2

Did you see the interview of the wife of the assassinated jet-ski rider on Fox & Friends this morning?  It was heartbreaking, to say the least!  The Mexican authorities are ignoring her requests to recover her husband’s remains, and, of course, our own President and his cabinet are ignoring her pleas, as well.   I’m guessing there is some sort of political gain to be had for them to blow her off.  This just breaks my heart.  I wish I were in a position to help her.  For our government to ignore her is unforgivable, and for the Mexican Government to ignore her cries for help is immoral.

Seems to me the local authorities should tell the Federal and Mexican authorities to go to hell and go find the man and bring him back to his family.  That probably won’t happen – no one in power wants an “international incident”. I guess those that have the power to do something are concerned about the reaction of the pirates/terrorists/drug cartels…  Our government won’t lift a finger to help for fear of insulting someone, other than a US citizen, and the Mexican authorities don’t have the ability, or the will power, to combat terrorists on their own soil.  Yes, I believe this was a terrorist attack on an American Citizen, and our own government refuses to stand up and protect its’ own people out of fear!

All I can do is pray God grants her, and the rest of the family, peace while this unfolds.

What is going on?

What is going on in the south?  Areas are posted, by the Federal Government, basically stating certain areas of our country are off-limits to us.  What?  Park lands, open areas/spaces are off-limits to us?  Off-limits because Mexican drug gangs and illegal immigrants are threatening US citizens, and have, in fact, killed Americans, shot and wounded Americans on their own property.  This is absolutely unacceptable!

Earlier this week pirates killed a man jet skiing on a Texas lake, and shot at his wife forcing her to leave her husband behind – dead, in the water.  Pirates?  Here instead of the waters off Somolia?  To coin a phrase – This is BS!  Mexican Terrorists are murdering American citizens in our backyard.  Where is the outrage?  Where is the media?  Why isn’t our own government doing something to stop this?  No, I am not laying the blame entirely on President Obama or this Congress.  This goes back much further than the current Administration.  This whole mess goes back longer than I’ve been alive, and that means mid-1950s.

Well, the problem can no longer be ignored.  There is a war being waged on our southern border.  The Border Patrol is not large enough nor strong enough to wage this war.  Nor is it their job.  Private citizens should not have to wonder if they are going to be engaged by hostile forces for the simple act of walking out of their own homes, into their front or back yards.  Why is this being allowed to happen?  Why is this a political event?

Mr. President.  Members of Congress.  There is a war being waged on our southern border.  This is a Clear and Present Danger to the security of the United States of America!  Our military must be deployed to our southern border and they must be authorized to engage and destroy the enemies of our Country by force of arms.  This war is no different than those being waged in Iraq and Afghanistan, and should be treated in the same manner.

Mr. President, let loose the Dogs of War! If it takes our troops maneuvering into Mexico to close with and kill the enemy, so be it.  Mexico seems unwilling or unable to control the enemies within, so we must do it for them!  Who knows what alliances drug cartels have made with Al Qaeda, Taliban, and/or other terrorist organizations.  These cartels are killing private citizens, politicians, journalists, police, and military personnel for the crime of not agreeing to be controlled by these Drug Kings.  They are terrorists themselves.  This is not a law enforcement situation!  This is War!  This war needs to be fought like a real war and not just given lip service.

Mr. President.  You need to take action immediately!  This is within your power as Commander-in-Chief to resolve.  You swore an oath to Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.  Mr. President, don’t you think it is time for you to abide by that oath?  Otherwise, can you tell us, what is going on?

Gun Bans

I am attaching a link to an article written by John Lott.  I could not have spoken as eloquently as he, so…

Yesterday’s wild shooting spree at the University of Texas fortunately ended without anyone being hurt before the gunman shot himself.  Naturally, the incident has yet again raised the question over gun bans, such as the ban currently in effect at the University of Texas.  http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2010/09/29/gun-bans-dont-work/

Absentee Voting

The Colorado SOS finally did the right thing by insisting counties follow federal law and get absentee ballots mailed to those in uniform defending Freedom’s Cause overseas!  Hurrah for small miracles!  I didn’t think our SOS would even try…  I find it astounding that an elected official would even think of trying to deny the right to vote to our men and women in uniform much less whine about having to follow the law because it is too hard or for some other moronic reason (apologies to all morons out there for my comparing the Colorado SOS to them).  I just hope the ballots do not arrive too late for them to be returned in time to be counted.

9th Anniversary

Hard to believe it has been nine years since the murders and act of war were committed on American soil.  To me, the wounds are still fresh.  No, I didn’t lose anyone on that day, but fellow Americans were attacked and murdered without cause or reason – certainly no legitimate reason.

To read some great articles go to:  http://michellemalkin.com/2010/09/11/911-remembrance-set-your-alarms-and-steel-your-resolve/

God bless all who serve Freedom’s cause and are in Harm’s Way, especially our Troops.

MOVE Act

So, Colorado and nine other states don’t want to comply with the MOVE Act, and allow those men and women serving overseas in our armed forces to vote. Imagine, 10 Secretary’s of State willingly and unlawfully desire to deny voting rights to those who VOLUNTEERED to place themselves in Harm’s Way. The rational behind this assault on basic American Rights? It’s too hard to implement MOVE Act requirements.

Oh please, too hard?! Pull your head(s) out and do the job you were elected to do. I am stunned this issue isn’t being discussed in the media. Why is it I have only heard about this on FOX and the WSJ®? I know I shouldn’t be surprised but it is disappointing just the same. It seems there is no respect nor belief in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights from any sector except a minority of individual Americans, and they are generally dismissed by politicians and media as Nazis or nut-jobs.

Question for these SOS: What Rights will you plead to withhold next and from whom? I am certain the withholding of Rights will not be imposed on any one or group that leans left. Are you acting on orders from Sec. Clinton, A.G. Holder, both, Ban-Ki Moon, or someone higher? Are you Governor’s involved in this? (I believe our Governor Ritter is involved up to his eyeballs – just a belief on my part. Nothing to substantiate it.)

We need to raise Cain with these folks and insist our state(s) are in full compliance with the law!

UPDATE: 6 p.m. MDT August 27, 2010  The Pentagon announced today they have rejected Colorado’s attempt to negate the military vote come November.  I am very pleased the Pentagon rejected Colorado’s lame excuse for not being compliant with voting laws.  There is no legitimate reason for Colorado to not be in compliance.  Remember, I said legitimate!  I am sure the ‘powers-that-be’ in this state will figure out a way to not count military absentee ballots or to even send them out in time for our military to vote.

Did anyone hear about this on the local news?  Just curious – can’t wait till morning to see if there’s a story in the Denver Post…
